Entrepreneurship Award

People are the most important asset in a service-based economy--and Virginia Economic Bridge, Inc. invests in people.

VEB believes that local entrepreneurs are the foundation of economic growth in Southwestern Virginia. Each year Virginia Economic Bridge, Inc. continues its tradition of strengthening the economy of Southwestern Virginia by supporting entrepreneurship in the region with an annual grant of $10,000.

The major criteria for the Entrepreneurship Award are:

  • Companies must be located in Southwestern Virginia
  • A strong potential for job creation must be present
  • Funds must be used for product development or capital improvement

Grant proposals are received and reviewed each summer by a committee comprised of business and academic leaders, as well as previous award recipients.

To learn more about this award or how you might invest in local entrepreneurs, please contact us at 540-731-6800 or email us at veb@vebinc.org
